Im August des letzten Jahres habe ich hier den Fernsehbeitrag zu meiner Gesellenprüfung (1999) veröffentlicht.
Das dazugehörige Gesellenstück folgt nun.
Es ist ein Anhänger -eine Art Medaillon- mit einem entnehmbaren Yo-Yo.
Das Yo-Yo ist mittels eines Minikugellagers auf der Mittelachse drehbar gelagert, sodaß das Farbspiel der Patina durch die Augen der zieselierten Maske zu sehen ist. Der Griffknebel des Yo-Yos ist die Unwucht im geschlossenen Zustand. Die Mittelachse ist auch der Federmechanismus, der den Bajonettverschluss der Dose einrasten lässt.
Das Stück wurde in 32 Stunden (Standart - Prüfungszeit) angefertigt.

It is pendant - a kind of a locket- with a withdrawable Yo-Yo.
The Yo-Yo is rotatably mounted by means of a miniature ball bearing on the central axis. Thus the colours of the Yo-Yos patina are visible through the eyes of the chased mask. The Yo-Yos little toggle works as imbalance when the locked is closed, making the Yo-yo constantly moving.
The central-axis is also the spring mechanism engaging the bayonet lock of the pendant.
The piece was made within 32 hours, which is the standard for jewellers journeymens examinations.
